What types of rooms does Stay 424 offer and what are the requirements for dorm stays?

Stay 424 offers fully private rooms, private rooms with shared bathrooms, and classic co-ed dorm-style experiences. All dormitories are strictly reserved for travelers and require proof of ongoing travel (e.g., plane ticket, future hostel reservation, international passport, gas receipts, or proof of activity in town). Local IDs are not accepted for dormitory stays.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times?

Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. and guests must check out by 11:00 a.m. While there is 24/7 front desk service, the lobby locks at midnight for safety. If you are arriving after 12:00 a.m., you must email support@stay424hostel.com in advance to arrange access.

What is Stay 424's cancellation policy?

A full refund is issued for cancellations made more than 14 days before check-in. Cancellations within the 14-day window are non-refundable, and reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking. Same-day cancellations will be charged in full.

Is parking available at Stay 424?

Yes, Stay 424 is located on Ashland Avenue, which offers free street parking—one of the last free blocks in the neighborhood. Guests should be mindful of street cleaning schedules on Monday and Tuesday mornings during the fall and winter, as the hostel is not liable for parking tickets or related issues.

What forms of payment are accepted for bookings?

Stay 424 accepts cash, debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, Cash App, and Venmo. It is important that the payment card used is in the guest's name, as third-party payments are not accepted. The full amount for the stay will be charged upon booking, and declined cards will result in a canceled reservation.

Can I store my luggage at the hostel?

Yes, luggage storage is available for a fee of $25 for up to 24 hours. Due to limited space, guests are advised to check availability at the front desk upon arrival.

Are there laundry facilities for guests?

Yes, Stay 424 provides two coin-operated washing machines and two coin-operated dryers on the Lower Level. Each cycle costs $1.75 per machine, and quarters are available at the Front Desk. Guest laundry facilities are accessible from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM daily, and guests must use their own detergent.
